Alan and Mattia investigated the shredder to find that the motor was still working but that the blades had rusted up and corroded. Michael walked us through the process of repairing the cover of a vintage Russian book on house keeping … The cover was removed with a stanley knife and the old glue scraped from the surface. Anna and Shirley created a patch for Anna’s favorite coat which had a torn lining under the arm. Hannah fixed the belt hoop on her trousers by inserting a piece of fabric where a tear had developed. Leona and Victoria, currently on the 3D Design and Crafts BA at Brighton joined our gang of repairers at the Bevy. Leona shortened the roll neck on Betty’s jumper by sewing it under.
